Crashing

Basically, I connect to the server once, time out, connect again, and my whole game crashes. No error message, nothing.

The game does not simply 'fix itself'. It's a program. If there's something wrong, it will stay that way until it is manually fixed. Under certain circumstances (ex. Server being low on players/no players) I'll be able to join. (The whole time out thing on initial connection will still happen though.)
 
Get all of the files out of your /garrysmod/garrysmod/data/pac3 folder (these are your pac3 save files, so dont delete them, just move them out of the gmod directory) Also I have only the map addons from the workshop, and tdm / lw cars are both svn, as well as wire and pac3 being svns
 
That sounds like a plan. I already cleared my Cache folder in the Garry's Mod directory (may not have been wise), so that may help.
 
I've had this problem a while ago.I don't remember exactly how I fixed it, But I think I removed most of my addons and deleted my 'cache' folder completely. Then verified integrity of game cache.
 
I Have That Happen Roy, I Usally Have to wait About Overnight It. When It does happen it usally around 7 or 8 And i have to wait till next morning... Hope you get it fixed :))
 
it probably fixes by itself the next day because by the time i wake up the server has already restarted and is running fresh
